Our story
From the family business to the personal and original collections, the island's jewelry aims to convey a clear message: the jewel becomes a symbol for those who wear it.
Passions are cultivated by observing the world around us. Growing up in a family that shaped the history of fine jewelry on Capri , with its myriad nuances, allowed Maria Alberino, an entrepreneur and designer from Capri, to create Mediterranee Passioni.
"In 2017," Maria recalls, "I decided to combine the original creations I designed with the family tradition of fine coral jewelry. This is because I have a different perspective than usual, an idea that jewelry should represent a person's soul and their way of understanding life."
This translates into the entrepreneur's creations, designed so that the jewelry can bring out the personality and passions of those who wear it. Maria reveals that the name of her boutique, Mediterranee Passioni, is no coincidence:
" It was chosen to represent the most distinctive side of women, their passions: our logo features my initials and those of my mother Isabella, who supported me in the creation of every new product I introduced. In fact, the design begins with her I, representing the root of tradition, and evolves into my M; the logo also features the Faraglioni rocks of the island of Capri in a stylized form, just like my creations ."
The collections
The connection between women and the island of Capri is echoed in the Capri Bloom collection. The designs represent the flora found in spring and summer, such as bougainvillea, broom, and jasmine, represented by amethyst, diamond, and white and yellow mother-of-pearl.
The Graffi Capresi and Crisalide collections are unique: the first features creations that represent the strong bond between cat lovers and their feline companions; the second entrusts jewelry with the task of representing a woman's rebirth and fulfillment.
Our customers
The choice to make the jewel a vehicle for profound messages has influenced the feedback Maria Alberino receives from customers who love to build a relationship of trust with the brand.
It often happens that a client, met ten minutes earlier, once they've understood the meaning of my collections, becomes close and shares their story with me, evoked precisely by my designs. This happens frequently with the Crisalide collection, but also with Graffi Capresi: each creation is accompanied by a description of the cat that inspired it, and the client often finds similarities with her own feline, recognizing it in the jewelry .
Empathy is fundamental for Maria Alberino, both in the creative phase and in contact with those who approach her creations , who will be happy to be welcomed by the owner of the house and by Luisa, the cat mascot of Mediterranee Passioni.
